We picked this fruit on November 9, 2005 – really getting the most out that amazing vintage – hand sorted the grapes, hand punched down the caps at least four times daily, barreled, hand bottled and hand labeled every individually numbered bottle. We made just 4 barrels (83 cases) of this liquid gold in new Seguin Moreau French oak barrels for just over 24 months. We also sealed this wine with the Vino-Seal – a small glass closure that requires no opener, and affords no opportunity for cork taint.
Every bottle of this wine is a true labor of love -- an statement of artistic excellence.
This wine is very limited in availability!
John Caldwell is one of the viticultural pioneers in Napa Valley with grapes that are coveted by the finest producers. His Cabernet grapes are considered some of the best Napa can produce. The vines for this wine are 23+ years old -- incredible, fantastic stuff. |
